Car stolen in Lefkosa
A car was reportedly stolen from where it was parked in Hamitköy, Lefkosa, North Cyprus on Wednesday, making it the second vehicle to be stolen in less than 24 hours.
The vehicle parked at Kelle Street, in Hamitköy was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday this week, police said.
The red Mitsubishi Lancer brand car with the registration number JK973 was taken away by an unidentified person/s without the permission of the owner says a police report.
Anyone with useful information on the whereabouts of the vehicle should contact the nearest police station.
***There is no law in North Cyprus that recognizes car theft as it is almost impossible to steal a car in the tiny island. Offenders are only charged for unauthorized usage of a car that is reportedly stolen.
