Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan sentenced to prison for firing gun at hospital after nightclub fight with a Turkish pop star

Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan has been sentenced to two decades and eight months in jail just after firing a gun at a healthcare facility following a struggle with a Turkish pop star.

Having said that, the 31-year-old – who is at present on loan at Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir – has had the verdict deferred by the court, which means he will only be sent to prison if he commits a criminal offense in the next five years.

Turan and singer Berkay Sahin ended up in an altercation in an Istanbul nightclub last year which left the singer receiving medical procedures on a damaged nose.
