Student fight in Lefke, Nigerian beaten and money taken away from his apartment

A group of students who were involved in a fight in Yesilyurt, a district in Lefke were arrested for allegedly beating a student and taking away money from an apartment.

According to police report, the incident happened on Monday night when a group of students between the ages of 27 - 29 reportedly entered the apartment of a Nigerian student, beat him and took money away from the house.

Report say, they attacked the victim because he did not pay his debts.

Police report say they searched his wardrobe and left the apartment with 3,500 TL, 400 USD and 160 Euros.

The accused who are all students of the European University of Lefke were arrested and detained. 

They will be taken to a court in Guzelyurt on charges of assault and robbery.
