North Cyprus government announces 4-day holiday from August 11-14 to celebrate Eid-il Kabir
Eid al-Adha, one of the two feasts of the Islamic world, will be celebrated in north Cyprus this year from Sunday, August 11 to Wednesday, August, 14, 2019.
The 4 day Kurban Bayram holiday or Eid-al-ahda will begin on Sunday the 11th of August.
Public offices and departments will all be closed during the 4 day bayram holiday and they will resume work on Thursday the 15th of August.
Meanwhile the state prison will be open for public visits during the 4 day holiday.
The Lefkosa Central prison will be opened to guests and visitor from 9:00am to 4:30pm during the period.
Relatives and friends can visit prisoners and spend time with them.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday and Tuesday 12th and 13th August as public holidays to mark the 2019 Eid-il-Kabir celebrations.
