How nutrition affects mental state

Your body is just like a car. Think about it. It works 24/7, keeping you alive, making you breathe, see things, laugh and cry.
And just like a car, it needs fuel and the quality of that fuel affects the way you feel. So if you fill up your stomach with some processed food don’t expect to be productive or to think clearly. On the opposite, if you eat something good like keto zucchini bread you’ll probably have lots of energy and positive thoughts. And when you’re in a good mood, you’ll probably want to make more bread to make others happy too!
Start with the dry ingredients: coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and walnuts. Place them in a large bowl and stir gently. Then add some vanilla, eggs and grated zucchini and stir again. Finally, place the mixture in a silicone loaf tin and bake for about 20-40 minutes at 180C. You should test the bread to see if it’s cooked by putting a knife in the center. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready.
If you’re still not convinced about how your mood can be influenced by what you eat, think of typical diets in different countries. Studies show that following Western diet is 25% more dangerous that Mediterranean or traditional Japanese diet.

It happens because our bodies need unprocessed grains, fish, seafood and lowed amounts of dairy products and sugars. Let’s try to follow a healthy diet and cook steamed shrimp. Just take a large steamer pot and bring beer and seasoning to a boil. Then add shrimp and steam for 5 minutes till they’re red. Serve hot or cool in a large bowl with your favorite sauce (or you can use ketchup) and fresh lemon.
And the last but not least: try eating a “clean” diet for two or three weeks. “Clean” here means excluding all processed foods and sugar and adding fermented foods like kombucha or pickles. Some people say this experience is quite unusual. You can also try cooking chicken pasta salad if you feel like eating something you’re used to. Cook your favorite pasta and allow it to cool.

Meanwhile, cut chicken breasts in four pieces and put them on a grill pan with olive oil. Add salt, pepper and any seasoning you like and cook for 4 minutes on each side. Now all you have to do Is add tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, olives, feta cheese and mix it with chicken. To prepare the dressing you’ll need olive oil, oregano, some basil and Dijon mustard. Dress your salad, toss it gently and serve the way you want. Enjoy!
As you can see, being in a good mood isn’t that difficult! Just eat healthy food and keep track of how much processed food you eat and things will get much better for you.
