Co-founder and President of Voice Of International Students in Cyprus, (VOIS Cyprus), Emmanuel Achiri has called out the Nigerian and African student community in Cyprus for it's double standard on the issue of murder in the country.
Emmanuel took to social media to lash out at the student community calling on them to demand justice for those who were gruesomely murdered by their fellow country men.
According to him, Nigerians were quick to hold a protest when a Nigerian student at Eastern Mediterranean University, was abducted and murdered by a group of Turkish students in January 2018.
Since the unfortunate incident, several other murder and death took place within the period of 18 months and no one held a protest or demanded justice over the killings which was carried out by Nigerians on Nigerians.

When Cypriot kids murdered a Nigerian student, we took to the streets to strike. But when we kill one of our own, everyone is silent. I am still awaiting a condemnation from the Nigerian student community or any other student community for that matter. Two gruesome murders in under 3 months, and yet no outrage! This is crazy, and we are just being hypocrites.
At what point in time do we look at ourselves or within our communities, and call out white or black for what it is? It's actually time to start doing the right thing.
We asked for justice for Kennedy, when do we ask for justice for OBJ?, he wrote on Facebook.
