Inflation rates of 2019 beats that of 2018 in North Cyprus
The annual inflation rates report for North Cyprus for the period covering January, February and
March of 2019 were quite high compared to the same periods of 2018
according to the TRNC central bank’s first quarter bulletin for 2019.
The annual inflation rate in the first three months of 2018, were 11.57%, 12.80% and 12.11% respectively, while in the same months of 2019 it was 30.94%, 28.67% and 29.26% respectively.
At the end of March 2019, food and non-alcoholic beverages, furniture and housing, water, electricity and gas were the sectors with the highest annual price increase.
