Driving licenses from North Cyprus recognized mutually in Turkey

Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have taken a decision on the ratification of national driving licenses and the mutual recognition of driving licenses and exchange agreements as published in the Official Gazette in Turkey. 

The ratification was signed on 23 February 2017 in Ankara, and approved on January 23, 2019.
 
With the first agreement, in order to regulate the relations between the two countries in the field of social security, the principles of legislation on invalidity, old age, death, illness, maternity, occupational accident, occupational disease and general health insurances have been determined for the employees with service contract, those working without service contract and those working in public administrations.

The second agreement between Turkey and the TRNC allows competent authorities to issue driver's license which can is recongnized in the other country.
