CIU Library students donates clothes to the needy
The Cyprus International University Library Directorate and Library Club donated clothes to people in need.
CIU Library Director, Gülten Sala Lay stated that they gathered surplus clothes that have not been used for a long time with the aim of raising awareness by the students who donated them.
Lay emphasized the importance of the existence of garment piggy banks, civil institutions and organizations and expressed that they can easily reach the needy through them.
She also noted that they are careful not to send clothes that are grayed, torn or seriously degraded while making donations.
She stated that this situation was really sad and thanked the municipalities and related institutions that provided this service within the scope of social responsibility projects.
