Bangladesh national who asked police to help him go back home detained

A Bangladesh national who surrendered himself to police to help him get back to his country was arrested and taken to court.

Salahi Atlı, who has been in the country since May, 2018 went to the police last week to help him get back to his country but was arrested and detained for living in the country illegally.

He was taken to a court in Kyrenia on Sunday, July, 21.

He told the police that he had to money and wants to return to his country.

The court ordered that the suspect remain in custody for 3 days in order to complete the deportation proceedings.
