4 Members of a family drowns, 1 rescued in north Cyprus beach
There was disaster on Friday evening at a beach in north Cyprus when four members of a family of five drowned in sea, with only one survival.
Four members of a family have drowned in the sea at the Tulumba area located between Kaplıca and Yedikonuk.
According to a statement by the Police, Ramazan Katırcı (48), Filiz Katırcı (40) and Merve Katırcı (18) have drowned while they were swimming at around 6:30pm.
Search and rescue efforts were launched for Mert Katırcı (13) who was taken by the waves, however, his dead body was later found as a result of a search carried out by a helicopter.
