25-year-old man rescued from drowning in a beach in Girne
A 25-year-old Kazakhstan national almost drown in Alsancak beach in Kyrenia on Saturday morning.
Yesmukhamed, from Kazakhstan almost drowned in the sea at about 10:00am on Saturday said police report.
He was rescued and given first-aid and then taken to the State hospital in Lefkosa where he was kept under observation in the intensive care unit.
This is coming less than 24 hours after four members of a family, Ramazan Katırcı, 48, Filiz Katırcı, 40, Merve Katırcı, 18 and Mert Katırcı drowned in the sea of Yedikonuk, near Famagusta due to the extreme wavy nature on Friday evening.
Only one of them survived the incident and is recuperating in the hospital.
***Those going to the sea to swim should please take caution and stay out of trouble.
