Three injured in knife attack in Lefkosa (photo)

At least three people were injured in a clash between two groups in Arasta region, in Lefkosa on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at about 8:15pm on Tuesday due to reason yet to be identified by the police.

Some of the injured were stabbed with a knife.

Health officials who arrived the scene found it difficult to do their job. The driver of an ambulance who came to the scene was also assaulted by a section of the group.

The injured were taken to the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa.Police arrived the scene and helped calmed the situation down.

Investigation is under way to determine the persons involved in the fight
