Six people almost drown in Famagusta beach

Six people who were almost drowning were rescued from the sea of Famagusta on Wednesday afternoon.

The six people, all male and foreigners were 500 meters away from the shore of the beach located in Famagusta when they were almost blown away by sea wave at about 2:00pm on Wednesday.

Three of them managed to swim to the shore while three others were rescued by coast guards.

They were taken to the Famagusta State Hospital for check up and later discharged.
