Normal life returns after week long Eid al-Fitr celebration

The three day Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr ended on Thursday as normal life returns to Cyprus.

During the third and last day of the holiday citizens also visited their relatives and the gravesides’ of their relatives who passed away.

Not left out are prisoners and detainees who were allowed an open visit at the central State prison in Lefkosa between 9am and 4pm on Thursday.

In line with the Eid al-Fitr, a thousand TRNC and Turkish citizens who cannot normally pass to the South side paid a visit to the Hala Sultan Mosque in Larnaca yesterday.

Meanwhile, all public offices opened today following the end of three day holiday.
