Cyprus Met Office issues orange alert, temperatures going up to 42 degrees!
Temperatures in Cyprus continue to rise as the Cyprus Met Office issues orange weather warning for Wednesday as temperatures expected to reach 42 degrees.
According to the announcement the orange alert will take place from 12:00pm – 17:00pm today.
Experts warn people that high temperatures could lead to health risks amongst the vulnerable groups of the population e.g. elderly and children.
According to the forecast high pressure is dominating the scene with bright sunny spells everywhere on the island weather expected to be humid throughout the day.
Temperatures expected to reach a scorching 42 degrees inland, 35 C on the coasts and 32 in the mountain areas.
