Cameroonian using someone else's passport held at crossing point in Lefkosa

A Cameroonian using a passport belonging to someone else was caught at the Metehan crossing point with south Cyprus.

The 40-year-old woman whose status in the country could not be determined at the time of the report was held on Monday, June, 24 while attempting to enter south Cyprus from north Cyprus via the Metehan crossing point.

She was arrested after police noticed that she was using a passport belonging to someone else.

She was taken to a court in Lefkosa and detained for three days as police carry out investigation into the matter.
