10 arrested in Haspolat for illegal stay

At least 10 people were arrested and detained by Turkish Cypriot police in a raid carried out by the police directorate and crime prevention team in Lefkosa and Iskele on Friday.

According to police bulletin, the raids were carried out in Casinos, hostels and public parks in Haspolat, Lefkosa, Iskele.

17 people were banned from visiting the casino while 10 people were arrested in Haspolat for staying in the country without authorization.

The foreigners were working illegally in the country. 

Legal proceeding were opened against them.

Also, a 28-year-old was arrested for drug in Famagusta.
