Turkish man assault wife for not being able to raise 2,500 TL for him to gamble
A man who assaulted his wife for not being able to raise 2,500 Turkish Lira for him to gamble has been arrested and detained.
The accused, Noyan Yıldırım, a Turkish citizen who was brought to a court in Lefkosa on Monday reportedly threatened to exterminate his wife and threatened her with violence.
According to police report, the accused, punched his wife in the stairs of their apartment for not being able to find 2,500 TL for him to gamble on May, 4, 2019.
On Monday, May, 13, he again threatened his wife with violence after he demanded that she sign some paper documents that could enable him sell her car to pay off his debt.
The accused was given a one month detention until trial for assault.
