Student broke neck in a dive at a beach in Lefke
A 21-year-old student trying to cool off at the Cukur Galif Beach in Yedidalga on Wednesday broke his neck in a dive.
According to report, the incident happened at about 1:30pm on Wednesday at the Cukur Galif Beach in Yedidalga.
The victim identified as Emre Asci, a student at the European University of Lefke (EUL) was injured when he dived into the sea from the dock.
He was taken to the Near East Hospital where diagnosis showed that he had fractured his neck.
He was later moved to the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkosa and kept at the intensive care unit.
