Man Utd favourites for Fernandes, Barca remain confident over De Ligt

Manchester United are now the favourites for Bruno Fernandes whilst Barcelona remain confident over Matthijs de Ligt.

An exclusive from The Sun who report that Manchester City have cooled their interest in Sporting CP midfielder Bruno Fernandes, which leaves Manchester as the favourites to sign the 24-year-old. Fernandes has scored 31 goals this season and could cost around £50 million if there is now no bidding war for his services. 

Barca remain confident over De Ligt

The Independent has a report concerning Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt. The report in question says that the 19-year-old centre-half is still expected to sign for Spanish champions Barcelona in a deal worth around £60 million. That will see him join team-mate Frenkie de Jong in joining the Catalan giants. 

PSG in talks with Pepe 

PSG have begun talks over Lille midfielder Nicolas Pepe. The 23-year-old is one of the hottest properties in Europe and it had been thought that Bayern Munich were leading the way for his signature, ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Juventus and Manchester United. However PSG are interested now as they look to refresh their squad for next season. 

Liverpool bag extra money from Coutinho deal 

Despite knocking Barcelona out of the Champions League, Liverpool have still made another £4.3 million out of Philippe Coutinho’s transfer. One clause stipulated that Barca would have to pay if they reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, which they duly did.
