Imam, three others arrested for stealing Church historic artifacts in Lefkosa

An Imam of a Mosque along with three others were arrested in Lefkosa for being in possession of ancient works of a Church. 

The suspects identified only as E.B, M.S.A, H.B and B.B were taken to a court in Lefkosa on Monday following their arrest.

During an operation carried out by the Lefkosa police Department that led to their arrest, two bronze Church bells and six copper candlesticks, which are ancient artifacts were found in a van in their possession ready for sale.

Police confiscated the historical artifacts and arrested the men between the age of 30 and 40.
