A Cameroon couple has tied the knot at the office of the Lefke District office, a first in the district.
The couple officially got married last week in the District of Lefke District secretariat.
The couple, Kamerunlu Tandungang Ajuandem Alfred and Ms Kamdem Simo Magrace Vanessa both from Cameroon and students of the European University of Lefke exchanged their marriage vows in the presence of friends and officials.
The little ceremony was officiated by the District Governor.
According to TRNC law, the marriages of the citizens of the TRNC are conducted by a civil servant and the marriages of the third nationals are conducted by the Ministry of Interior.
With the marriage of the Cameroonian couple, a first in the district of Lefke was recorded.
