Solskjaer to start Old Trafford clearout as United plan to replace Sanchez with Sancho

Manchester United boss has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he is ready to get rid of players this summer.

Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Fred warms up ahead of the English FA Cup fifth round football match between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in London on February 18, 2019
While he has said he wants to keep Paul Pogba at the club, The Sun reports that in line to leave are Fred, Eric Bailly and Alexis Sanchez, who have all struggled at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer said:

It’s going to be survival of the fittest or survival of the best. That’s how ruthless we have to be. We need players here who are going to be able to take us forward.

***: United do need to get rid of many of their players, and to start in midfield would let them put in consistent players alongside Pogba. If Pogba is then still incapable of playing three good games in a row, it should then mean United sell him on to a club where he is prepared to apply himself consistently, too.
