Man arrested in Gazimağusa for harassing several women sexually via false Facebook messenger
A man has been arrested in Gazimağusa, for allegedly harassing several women sexually via false Facebook messenger.
Hundreds of women have been abused from the counterfeit account opened on behalf of Sercan Toz in Famagusta.
The accused, Bekir Yiğit, who was arrested on Monday on allegation of harassing and sending sexual content to women on ther social media app, was taken to court on Wednesday.
The accused who is said to have sent many sexual messages to hundreds of people, such as, I want to have a relationship with you, was arrested folowing a complaint of a woman named SEK.
Other women also lodged their complaint against the accused after his arrest.
The accused committed the crime between 2018 and April 1, 2019.
The court issued a two-day detention order against him.
