Female student detained for getiing drunk and assaulting a police officer.
When you see headlines like this in Cyprus, the first identity of the person that comes to mind is that it involves an African and probably a guy, but I guess this one came as a shock to you.
A female alcoholic student is currently spending some time in a Girne prison in north Cyprus for getting drunk.
The accused, a Kyrgyzstan student who was only identified as T.S was arrested at about 9:00pm on Sunday, March, 31 at a public place in Ataturk Street in Gine for being under the influence of alcohol.
She was found to be under the influence of 280 milligram of alcohol.
She reportedly assaulted a police officer by hitting the officer in the eye when the officer tried to arrest her.
She was charged to a court in Girne for charges of beating a police officer, getting drunk and causing discomfort in the area.
She was released on bail of 15,000TL and banned from leaving the country until trial.
