Coutinho to Old Trafford?

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about the possibility of signing Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho in the summer.

Responding to media speculations on Monday, the Norwegian simply responded: “He’s a Barcelona player.” Coutinho has had a rocky year at Barcelona since leaving Liverpool, but will still hope to have an input as Barca chase the treble.

 

***: No matter how a manager reacts, it makes a story – be it total denial, a hint of interest or an outright declaration of interest. Solskjaer’s answer is as standard as you will get. There’s a summer of change coming at United, but it’s difficult to see Coutinho as one of potentially many arrivals.
