Cost of living in north Cyprus goes up by 1.33%

The cost of living for March, 2019 in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus was estimated as 1.33 per cent as announced by the State Planning Organization (DPÖ).

According to a statement released by the Prime Ministry’s State Planning Organization, the inflation rate of March went up by 1.33 per cent compared to the previous month.

The inflation rate also went up by 1.71% compared to December 2018 and the annual inflation rate has reached 29.26 per cent.

Three products which saw the highest price rise are grapes, plums and zucchinis.

The price of broad beans, cucumbers and green peas experienced the sharpest drop.
