Two students caught hidden in a car boot in an attempt to from north to south Cyprus illegally

Two people have been arrested for trying to cross from north to south Cyprus illegally by hiding in the trunk of a car.

The two accused, a male and a female of African descent tried to pass through the Kermia crossing point in a prohibited military zone from north into south Cyprus at about 11:30pm on Tuesday, march by hiding inside the trunk of a vehicle.

They were arrested based on their suspicious movement and taken to a court in Lefkosa.

Wigs were found in a nylon bag found in the car.The suspects stated that their intention was to sell them in the south.

The two accused have a status in north Cyprus.

They were imprisoned for 45 days until trial.
