Student under the influence of alcohol crash into two cars in Lefkosa causing damage worth 15,000 TL

A 21-year-old man who entered the island with a student visa reportedly hit two cars while under the influence of alcohol causing damage worth 15,000 Turkish Lira.

The accused, Azat Hezer, who police say was tested for 133 promyl alcohols appeared before a Lefkosa court on Monday where he denied that the incident had nothing to do with alcohol.

According to police report, the incident happened at Osman Paşa Avenue in Lefkosa on Saturday March, 2.

He is said to have hit the two cars parked by the side of the road.

Not because I'm alcoholic but I've been panicked, he said in court.

Following the incident In front of a bar in Dereboyu, Azat Hezer, was slapped by an unknown person arguing that he panicked and ran away.

The incident was not due to alcohol. Available in cameras. I have exams. I'il give the police my ID, my passport, and go back to school. I can't be arrested. I want to go back to my school and follow my lessons and exams, he said.

He was detained for two days on court orders.
