Six CIU students arrested for beating two other students for gossiping
Six students of a university in Lefkosa were last week arrested and released on bail for severely beating two other students for gossiping.
The incident occurred at the university campus in Haspolat on Friday last week.
According to police report, the six accused reportedly assaulted the two students On the grounds that they were "gossiping".
They were taken to a court in Lefkosa on Friday charges of "Unlawful community" and "Serious assault" on charges.
The 6 suspects were released on collateral for future prosecution.
