METU students protest lack of transportation (photos)

Students of Middle East Technical University, METU have taken action by staging a protest on the lack of public transportation for students.

Student of the university said they will like to make an appeal to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to make available transportation from Kalkanli-Guzelyurt-METU.

The students of the institution said lack of transportation is one of "the biggest problem of the school," and described the shortage of public transportation as a "knife in the bone." 

They noted that the company handling transportation in the area, monopolized the transportation tender, with exorbitant price as some bus drivers were not authorized with only the use of licensed buses.
