Man filmed assaulting Somalian woman in welfare office in south Cyprus (video)

A man was filmed by bystanders assaulting a woman in a welfare office, in south Cyprus.

Acording to the report by offsite.com.cy, on Friday, the man, a third party contractor, assaulted the woman from Somalia on Wednesday.

Senior Officer of the Welfare Services Maria Kyratzi told philenews that the man is not an employee of the service.

We do not want the services of this man and we will see how we will proceed, she said.

The Welfare Service has zero tolerance for such violent behaviour towards all citizens, regardless of nationality, she added.

The Welfare Service has started an administrative inquiry into the incident.
