Final Game of Thrones trailer promises bloodbath

The wait is almost over as the long-awaited Game of Thrones trailer has dropped and we’re left wondering if any of our favourite characters will make it out alive.  

The hotly anticipated trailer ahead of Game of Thrones’ final ever seasonis here and it shows our favourite characters gearing up for the last battle of Westeros.

All events from the past seven seasons are set to collide in the eighth and final ride, which premieres on Foxtel on April 14.

All of our favourite characters are here: Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).

Their journeys will collide one final time in the six remaining episodes, with much of the story expected to end where it began — Winterfell.

So what can we glean from it? Well, we get a titillating glimpse of the show’s last massive battle, which will last an entire episode, and is expected to be the longest consecutive action sequence in cinema history.

We see a panicked Arya running from something, but what?: “I know death, he’s got many faces, I look forward to seeing this one,” she says, pointedly.
