Double accident near Famagusta, 2 dead, 9 injured (photos & video)

Nine people, including children, were injured in a double traffic accident on which two vehicles collided face to face on the Ziyamet-Kumya highway, and Karpasia area in North Cyprus.

The first incident happened at about 2:30pm on Thursday on the Pamuk-Kumyalı road when one of the vehicle driven by a 37-year-old man with a 31-year-old female passenger in it reportedly collided with an oncoming vehicle. 

Two people including a 53-year-old woaman in the oncoming car died on the spot and two others seriously injured.

In a similar incident on the same day, seven other people including three children were also injured in an accident on the Ziyamet-Kumya highway near Famagusta.

They were taken to the State Hospital in Famagusta for treatment.
