42-year-old man in Girne beats pregnant wife on the grounds that the child is not his
A 42-year-old man has been arrested by Turkish Cypriot police in Girne for allegedly beating his 30-year-old pregnant wife on the grounds that the child is not his.
The incident according to police report, happened on March, 3, 2019.
According to report the woman who is two months pregnant was seriously beaten, was punched in several parts of her body by her husband.
The woman reported the incident to the police on March, 4 following which her husband was arrested and taken to a court in Girne.
If he is found guilty of the crime, he will be sent to prison for a period of three years.
