Manchester United fear losing David de Gea
Manchester
United want David de Gea to stay but also fear losing him for nothing.
Manchester United are ready to tie down David de Gea to a new
contract. The 28-year-old Spanish international has about a year left on
his current contract and has been offered £350,000 a week in order to
stay. However, his agent is holding out for more because he knows that Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are ready to step in should talks fail, claims the Evening Standard..
*** United’s top paid player is Alexis
Sanchez, and given they could find the money for a player who has
woefully underperformed expectations then it should make it clear to the
club that giving De Gea parity is good value for money. United can’t
afford to lose their only consistently world class player over £50,000 a
week. Indeed, De Gea is probably worth more than that.
