Jealous boy friend arrested for assaulting ex-girlfriend in Lefkosa
A Turkish Cypriot man who was arrested on claims of assaulting his ex girlfriend has rejected the claim in court saying she fainted and was only trying to wake her up.
Baver Çoban was arrested earlier this week for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a football field in Ozanköy, Lefkosa following the complaint of the victim. He was brought to a court in Girne on Tuesday on accusation of serious and sexual assault.
The police officer in charge of the Girne Forensic Branch who testified about the issue in court said the accused committed the crime between 10-11 February.
Police said the accused who it said was jealous of his ex girlfriend attacked her in the female restroom of the football field and threatened to kill her when she told him to go out.
The suspect told the court that he did not assault the girl but had only wanted to help.
Police said the complainant is undergoing a doctor's investigation while the suspect was detained for three days as investigation is ongoing.

Absolutely no rape. She lied because she couldn't get me. My ex-girlfriend was heart patient and she fainted. I poured water on her face to bring her back. I slapped it. No rape. I don't do such a job. I can give my money if I want to go to the brothel.
