Two people arrested in Famagusta after police found drug hidden in their apartment roof

The TRNC Narcotic and Smuggling Prevention Directorate, have arrested two people and seized 56 extacy pills and 137g of synthetic cannabionoid drug following a raid in an apartment in Famagusta on Friday.

The team carried out the drug operation at the home of one of the accused on Friday following a tip off.

Police said 56 extacy pills was found in a jar and 125 g of synthetic cannabionoid drugs was also found hidden on the roof of the apartment. 

The drugs were seized in the operation.

The two accused, a male and a female were arrested and taken to a court in Famagusta on charges of ”illegal drug saving".

They were given a 3 days detention order pending investigation.
