Student placed on travel ban arrested at Ercan airport after trying to leave the country
A Sudanese student who was banned from leaving the country was arrested at the Ercan airport for trying to exit the country.
The student identified as O.A.O.A was arrested in August, 2018 in Famagusta for drug crime and later released on collateral and a traveling ban issued to him.
He was arrested at the airport on Wednesday, January, 16 as he attempted to leave the country despite the travel ban.
He was taken to a Famagusta court and ordered to remain in prison for a period not exceeding 20 days until trial.
