Student arrested for harassing people and constantly demanding for money

A student has been arrested and detained on grounds of causing disturbance of other people in the region.

According to report by Turkish Cypriot media, Yeniduzen, the accused who is an illegal resident in the country was arrested in Gocmenkoy on Tuesday on charges of harassing people and constantly demanding for money.

He was reported to the immigration department by citizens because his attitudes irritates them. 

He was charged to a court for crimes of inappropriate behavior and for residing in the country without permission. 

Police investigation revealed that he froze his academic in the country and had no resident permit.

The accused told the court that he did not disturb anyone and couldn't register for study because of his expired passport and was going to renew his studentship in the coming semester. 

He was sent to prison for two days pending investigation.
