Russian man detained in Lapta for beating wife
A Russian man has been arrested in Lapta and put on trial for slapping and assaulting his wife after his wife reported him to the police.
The man identified as Ignat Zinovenko, who lives in Lapta, reportedly slapped his wife and then kicked her repeatedly.
He was arrested last week and and put on trial after his wife's complaint.
Appearing in court on Monday, the accused told the court that “I can talk to my wife and solve the problem between us".
He also told the court that the matter was a family issue and that he regretted it.
He was given a one day detention order pending investigation.
