Man assault 11-weeks old pregnant wife at a hospital in Lefkosa

Man who allegedly assaulted his 11-weeks old pregnant wife at a hospital in Lefkosa have been arrested and detained.

Abdulhalim Ozturk, was arrested in front of the Lefkosa State Hospital Emergency ward on Thursday, January, 10 after allegedly assaulting his 11 weeks pregnant wife he accused of tattooing.

He was brought to a Lefkosa court on Friday last week.

Ozturk was accused of kicking his wife in court after camera images were reviewed.

Speaking in court, the accused said;

My wife has been such a problem for 6 years, my family does not want and do not listen to me, we constantly quarrel and she does not want to leave, before adding that; I did not hit him, just pushed.

He was detained for three days for the purpose of investigation.
