Famagusta police arrest Bangladesh national who reported himself because he needed help to get back home

A Bangladesh national who have been living in the TRNC without a resident permit since 2018 asked for help to return to his country by report to the Famagusta police Headquarter.

The man identified only as R.R approached the police headquarters for help last week and was arrested by the police who after conducting an investigation into his request found out that he has been residing in the TRNC since November, 7, 2018 without a resident permit. 

He was taken to a court in Famagusta on Saturday on charges of living illegally in the TRNC. He was ordered to be detained for three days for the purpose of investigation.
