Paredes agrees terms at Chelsea
David de Gea is waiting for Manchester United to offer a £300,000-a-week contract before committing his long-term future to the club – the Daily Mail
reports. The United goalkeeper proved his class with a man-of-the-match
display in Sunday’s win at Tottenham, and though he is tied down at Old
Trafford until 2020, the Spaniard is keen for an improvement on his
current £200,000-a-week contract before signing.
Hazard's price-tag
Chelsea
will ask for upwards of £100m if Eden Hazard tells the club he wants a
move to Real in Madrid in the summer, by which point the Belgian will
have just one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge – the Telegraph
reports. The playmaker is hopeful Real will make their summer
intentions clear this month, with Chelsea also keen to resolve the
situation as soon as possible.
Ole in pole position
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been propelled to favourite for the
permanent manager’s job at Manchester United after steering the club to
six straight wins as interim boss – the Sun
reports. Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is said to have visited
the Wembley dressing room after United’s record-breaking win over Spurs
to congratulate Solskjaer, while the Norwegian’s ability to get the best
out of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford is also impressing the club’s hierarchy.
Paredes agrees terms at Chelsea
Chelsea are closing in on their replacement for Cesc Fabregas
after agreeing terms with Zenit midfielder Leandro Paredes – the Mirror
reports. Zenit are said to fear Paredes will go on strike if the deal
doesn’t go through, with a Chelsea said to be offering £27m to secure
the 24-year-old’s services.
