Cameroonian resist deportation at Ercan

A Cameroon student who was denied entry into the TRNC had tired to resist being deported after entering into confrontation with immigration officers at the airport.

The Cameroon student along with two others were about to be deported from the TRNC on Wednesday morning when an argument started.

The student was demanding for his passport, telling the immigration officer who tried to use force on him that he's going nowhere until he gets his passport back. The other two simply obeyed the immigration officer and boarded the plane.

Returning back, the immigration officer, told him, since he refused to be deported, he will be taken to court which he agreed to.

The student who spoke with Olomoinfo Blog while the incident unraveled at the airport said he had been held at the airport for over two days since his arrival in the country as a student and kept in a guard room with no explanation as to what was going on.

According to him, he came into the country from Cameroon, haven registered with a business management school in the country.

After arrival in the country, he was asked to wait and then put in a guard room. No explanation was given as to why he was been held at the airport.

He said going back to his country was not a good idea due to the crisis in the region since his life was at risk.

He said he would accept to leave the country but wants his passport back and demanded to know what wrong he committed.

From our little investigation, he had paid only 800 euros as school fees before boarding a flight to the country.
