Britain's Prince Philip escapes unhurt after road crash near royal estate
Queen Elizabeth’s husband, 97-year-old Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh,
was involved in a traffic accident on Thursday near the Sandringham
estate in eastern England, Buckingham Palace said.
He was not hurt.
Norfolk Police said officers were called to the Sandringham Estate shortly before 3pm ‘following reports of a collision involving two cars’
A witness said they saw the duke being helped from the car in ‘shock’.
He was ‘conscious’ but appeared to be visibly ‘shaken’, they told the BBC. Philip and the Queen have been staying at their Norfolk estate since Christmas.
He was not hurt.
The Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a road traffic accident with another vehicle this afternoon, it said in a statement.
The Duke was not injured. The accident took place close to the Sandringham Estate. Local police attended the scene, it added.
