Body of woman found wrapped in blanket along the Ercan airport road in Lefkosa
A body believed to be that of a 40-year-old Vietnamese woman who was announced missing since October, 15, 2017 was found wrapped in a blanket at about 30 meters off the Ercan airport road, near Gaziköy, on Sunday.
According to police report, the body of a 40-year-old Vietnamese woman, who was announced missing since October 15, 2017 after she left her home and never heard of again was found wrapped in a blanket at about 3:00pm on Sunday along the Ercan Airport road in Lefkosa.
On October 15, 2017, the police announced that 40-year-old Dam Thi Hop, a Vietnamese national was missing after she left her home and was never heard of again.
The police at the time called on the public to report to the nearest police station if found.
An autopsy will be done on Monday to determine the true cause of her death.
This is coming less than 24 hours after a Zimbabwean student was found dead at an uncompleted building at the Near East University in Lefkosa.
Initial police report say they suspect that he committed suicide but further reports claims he may have been murdered.
Police are still investigating the incident.
