All students to take a course on Turkish Cypriot history and culture in all TRNC universities

Turkish Cypriot history and culture is to be offered as a new subject in all of the TRNC’s universities. 

This was made know by the TRNC's deputy head of the Higher Education Planning, Supervising, Accreditation and Coordination Board (Yödak), Mehmet Hasgüler, during a meeting held in December, 2018 at the Cyprus International University.

According to him, the sessions would feature input from “artists, historians and other relevant individuals”, and that the course’s text book would be translated into English for non-Turkish speaking students.
