68-year-old Greek Cypriot man and son catches thief red handed in their bedroom

A 68-year-old Greek Cypriot man with the help of his son apprehended a man who tried to burgle their home in Paphos on Sunday.

According to report by Cyprus Mail, a 68-year-old man woke up early Sunday to find an unknown man in his bedroom, and then managed to apprehend the burglar with the help of his son.

Citing, the police, Cyprus Mail said, sometime around dawn, the man was still asleep in the bedroom of his home but woke up after hearing a noise, only to find the burglar there.

He immediately shouted for help and the burglar tried to flee but the homeowner’s son heard the shouting and went to help. Both managed to stopped the burglar.

Police were called and the burglar, 53, was arrested. On him they found some items belonging to the 68-year-old.

He was also in possession of a torch, gloves, burglary tools and a small amount of cannabis.
